hypothesis-redbird1123

  1. The police shoot a lot of young black men.
  2. The police feel in danger in the presence of young black men, making them more likely to shoot.
  3. Innocent young black men die because of the incorrect prejudice of police.
  4. White police are more likely than black police to shoot innocent young black men.
  5. Therefore: White police should NOT BE ASSIGNED to primarily black beats.

The ideas are good, but more clearly define the effect of gun violence on a population.

Your ideas are really good and you make a really good point. Maybe you could combine these points to make one big hypothesis that is more detailed and specific. It’s a little bit unclear which of the points you’re trying to make.

Your hypothesis, especially the sixth step, lacks the specificity needed to formulate your hypothesis, as well as let the reader know what you are trying to defend. However, I think this topic is wonderful, as it is a large issue in society.

  5. The post is great and I can understand what your saying, but I would like you to elaborate on gun violence and make it more clear to me the reader. Gun violence is a bad thing, but how are guns killing innocent bystanders. Maybe adding stray bullets from acts of gun violence kills innocent bystanders on a daily basis. Also how does gun violence lead to police brutality; are you just saying young black men in the wrong time and place leads to police brutality. I would like to add as well how are kids effected by gun violence besides the fact that they lost their parent. What did they lose by losing this parent is it guidance or love, those two factors are major in the life of a child who is growing up.

  6. Good starter topic but the more you get into detail the less actual gun violence is mention.
