Money plays a significant role in our society; we cannot do much or get far without the value of money. Money is valuable in different ways, even when we don’t see it physically. In today’s society, we must have faith in the government and the banking system that our money is handled with care; if not, we would have to hide all of our money under our mattresses or around our houses. We have no clue what happens in the banks or how they take care of our money. We do not see our money transferred in and out of our bank accounts. Money is not simple; there is either money in the bank or not in the bank—that is it. However, being introduced to this assignment, the Yap Fei, US gold, French francs, Brazilian cruzeiros, and debit accounts now seem similar. Getting paid does not mean we get handed a check or cash; it magically appears in our bank accounts overnight. We have to trust that money will magically appear every two weeks.
