Core Value 1. My work demonstrates that I used a variety of social and interactive practices that involve recursive stages of exploration, discovery, conceptualization, and development.

In this core value, I was applying the correct sources to the main topic, given my information and sources resolves around the main topic. Brainstorming an important part of this course, but more important, we have to find information to put it in the work. I already know that I can’t write all the thing at once, it must take a few small step to write something, then review and then revise and rewrite. These step keep reapeating until reach the goal. Receiving and giving feedback from Professor is really essential to know what I have misunderstood. For example, my Hypothesis was fixing and narrow the topic down so many times.

Core Value 2. My work demonstrates that I read critically, and that I placed texts into conversation with one another to create meaning by synthesizing ideas from various discourse communities. 

Core Value 2 helped me realized that I shouldn’t just read over a post or an article. I have to read the article and reread it and then try to anylize it. Make sure that I have read enough and understand the purpose of the informations from a source and use is in a useful way. Imagine being myself as a person who is debating with the author, because in an article, there is some points I agree with the author, but some are not. Talking about the important and not important that could help me understand deeper. My work Claims is showing my point i said above.

Core Value 3. My work demonstrates that I rhetorically analyzed the purpose, audience, and contexts of my own writing and other texts and visual arguments.

I understand that my idea and things in the article is important, but beside that, I have to know the audiences I am writing to. Based on that I need to use words suitable for those people and ages. This prevent reader from boring. If the words in my work make reader bored, this would be a really fail and poor article. One work that I have fail is my Research Paper, because at first, when everybody just look at my title for the article, they already know what am I talking about.

Core Value 4: My work demonstrates that I have met the expectations of academic writing by locating, evaluating, and incorporating illustrations and evidence to support my own ideas and interpretations.

The fourth core value show me that I have to learn and force myself to approaches problem-solving and thinking, asking, seeking information from a source. This clearly show in my Visual Rhetoric. I was explaining the information from the video to the readers and I have to make connect between my information, also use my own experiences to support for it. There is so many information in a 30-second video. I need to figure out how to interpret the information smoothly and they have to connected.

Core Value 5. My work demonstrates that I respect my ethical responsibility to represent complex ideas fairly and to the sources of my information with appropriate citation. 

The most important core value is Core Value 5, it showed me that writing is more than just reading information and taking notes. It is stealing idead from others and violating ethics. Writing is not only for myself but also for many other people in society. it has ethical concerns that I have to be careful of, such as when taking example or information from other sources, I have to show clearly who is giving these thing and I just stating my opinions.
