  1. Fighting in hockey.
  2. Fighting and player safety in the NHL.
  3. The number of injured players in an NHL season due to fighting versus other causes
  4.  Enforcing strict rules on the ice will keep players healthy.
  5. Rule changes implemented after the lockout to speed the game and move from enforcers work to keep the game safer while fighting is an additional risk for player injury.
  6. Fighting in the NHL protects players from injuries at a greater rate than implementing rule changes.

    I like this just for how bold of a premise it is. Always interesting when data or evidence proves really strange relationships like this, so I hope you find enough through research to build a decent argument here.
