White Paper- chance1117

  • Working Hypotheses (at least 2)

Hypothesis 1: If until after death that a person’s organ donor status is not known, then everyone would get treated equally in health care.

Hypothesis 2:

Definition/classification: Organ donors are subject to not get equal treatment when admitted into hospitals.

Cause/Effect Argument:

Rebuttal Argument: Many people are on the waiting list to receive organ donations that can save their life, so when the opportunity comes to save a patient that needs an organ the health care professionals do not work as hard on the person who is an organ donor.

  • Current State of the Research: I am just gathering my sources. It is kinda hard to find research that is on the same topic as my paper. I’m leaning towards  making an appointment so I can get assistance with narrowing down my sources. Most of the articles that I have been finding  are about the recipients of the organ donors and not the actual person donating the organs so it is a little difficult.

Here’s two right off the bat that result from a Google Scholar search for
    “healthcare discrimination” “organ donation”

They’re about Perception of discrimination more than proof of discrimination, but that’s an important aspect of your paper.
