The affects of covid-19 pandemic on education

Everyone in the world knows and is terrified of the global pandemic that started happening in 2019. It has already killed millions of people around the world and now it’s still there, just out of danger. As at first, doctors have found a vaccine to fight this dangerous virus. It seriously affects all aspects of human life, not only at the individual level but also at the national level. The influence of the economy, technology, and more, and especially education, is said by some to be starting to change. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused both unprecedented disruption and major changes to education. However, when schools reopen, these changes may disappear.

Depending on the individual and the level, and position of the students in their learning program each person experiences the covid pandemic differently. For example, teachers and professors are fall behind of the schedule acadamic year, they have to pause their teaching process. Same for students, they have to stop going to school to learn. School have to close. Those who prepare to get a job was prevent from the dangerous virus. Compare have to close.

However, the changes or innovations that occurred in the immediate days and weeks when COVID-19 struck are not necessarily the changes education needs to make in the face of massive societal changes in a post-COVID-19 world. By and large, the changes were more about addressing the immediate and urgent need of continuing schooling, teaching online, and finding creative ways to reach students at home rather than using this opportunity to rethink education. As student and teacher need a space to be learning and teaching in order to avoid falling behind in a shool academic year. What are the changes? THose change could be student instead of going to school to learn inperson, now in the middle of the pandemic, student and teacher have to learn online though applications such as Google Meet, Zoom, Webex,… Those app allow multiple people to communicate and solve the problem that student dont have a space to learn.

The pandemic forced schools to close, forcing teachers, children and adults to do the job of education in completely different situations. The short term here is to solve the problem of the learning environment of students and teachers, which is the best place for education. In the long term, it does not solve future educational problems. Instead, distance learning makes students lazy, instead of using search engines to learn, they use it to find answers, almost all questions at high school always has answers on google, not direct, but somewhat more than 80% correct. It is also because there is no control from teachers on online meeting platforms, causing students to increase the rate of cheating on their assignments. Instead of studying the exercises to prepare well for the test, they choose not to study anything, just open google and check the answers, or watch the notes to get a high score.

Even those who are in the middle find it difficult when they don’t know what they will do before they finish the course, everyone is worried about long-term loss.
Although online photo communication applications help teachers and students with 11 places to study, work. Everyone agrees that it is the best choice during the epidemic period and they think it is better to move. spread this lesson but this is completely wrong and it leaves a very serious consequence for the students. Students begin to show signs of laziness when they don’t have to worry about taking the test. The teacher is looking at them instead and will choose Google to search for information about the tests. Although the combination of traditional and online methods has proven to be the best solution for students to improve their communication skills and become more computer and computer savvy and help them learn The importance of technology in the educational environment cannot be denied, but as I mentioned above, it also affects students a lot.

While it may be easier for institutions and classes to be taught in the classroom or on campus, it is also possible to return to the way it was. What the Education System and Government have done very well for preparing for learning in a global time of the pandemic, and the aftermath of covid 19 will leave a lasting mark. It partly helps the education of countries around the world have more diversity in learning, more flexible in terms of time and space of students, just to help students return to the right learning path.
