  1. Men Define Rape

It seems counterintuitive that men are the ones making laws when it comes to women’s rights. Ever since ancient times, men have had a difficult time trying to decide on the definition of rape, and when it was okay to commit the act. Men used to believe a women was unable conceive from a rape, and would only bear a child if she consented. They also thought it didn’t count as rape between a husband and wife because the woman had already consented in the form of marriage. Dr Lawson Tait, a 19th century gynecologist, said that a man could not possibly commit these types of acts on a woman who didn’t fight back. In other words, “you can’t thread a moving needle.” When it comes to women’s rights and their bodies, it seems only fair to have a woman at the head of these decisions. No man should have any say when it comes to women.

2. Principal Encourages Cheating

It seems counterintuitive that a school principal would want their students to cheat and give them the means to do so. In a Philadelphia school district, there have been many instances where the principal was accused of test-tampering. The most recent being Principal Davis-O’Rourke, where she was claimed to have created an environment ripe for cheating. She allowed students to change their answers and encouraged teachers to help the students rewrite responses. She also changed the locks on the storage room where the test booklets were found so only certain people had access. After the initial investigation, she surrendered her administrative certificate. A principal is supposed to encourage their students to do their best and only use their own ideas. They should want the students to succeed off their skills, without input from others.

3. Pizza Hut at the Pyramids

It seems counterintuitive that there would be a Pizza Hut and a KFC right next to the Great Pyramids as a way to bring in money. The pyramids have been around for thousands of years and is the last remaining from the 7 Wonders of the World. They have now become an even bigger tourist attraction, as a Pizza Hut and KFC have opened right across the street. This just goes to show how people are starting to care less about history and more about making money. This had led people to take these monuments for granted and use them as a tourist site. What once used to be the grand tombs of Pharaohs, have now simply become the view from a KFC booth.
