It seems counterintuitive that Walmart would have an in store McDonalds after boasting about their organic produce. That is counterintuitive because although they are trying to create the image of a store that sells organic and local produce they also opened a McDonald’s twenty feet away from the vegetable stands. In 2008 Walmart made a claim that they were planning to spend 400 million dollars a year on locally grown produce. Although they refused to release what they spent in the previous years so this could have been a scheme to sound good in the media. Walmart’s plan was to spend less and not to do good. When considering the facts you’ll find out that it costs more money to get produce shipped from other places. A big store like Walmart is always working very counterintuitively. Meaning while they say things that make it sound like they’re doing good things for the people, they’re actually only aiding themselves.

It seems counterintuitive to allow this elephant to keep performing after it has been sick. As stated the elephant was not eating like usual but the instructor paid no mind to that and went on with the show. Elephants are supposed to be given immediate medical attention but this one was not and later that day it sadly passed. It is counterintuitive to keep making this elephant perform while it’s sick because although the instructor may make money for that days worth of shows, they will never make money on that elephant ever again once he has passed.

It seems counterintuitive to armour parts of the plan that were not hit by any bullets but in reality it is where the armour is needed most because the plans studied made it back with bullet holes in other places. Another great example of something counterintuitive would be when a person goes to the doctor because their suffering is unbearable. The illness is most likely at its most painful point and can only settle moving forward. After seeing the doctor a person miraculously starts to feel better. Which would have happened either way seeing the doctor or not.

Just a quick note to acknowledge I’ve seen your Summaries. Insufferable feedback to follow.

This says it faster and better than several other phrasings of the same observation that I have read: “It seems counterintuitive that Walmart would have an in store McDonalds after boasting about their organic produce.”

    Good one, Grizzly!
