Technology Usage Should Be Minimized In The Classroom
1.Technology in classrooms
2.Technology affects students in the classroom
3.The usage of technology in the classrooms affects the health of the students.
4.Minimizing the usage of technology would benefit the health of the students.
5.Shorting the time needed for the usage of technology would benefit the brain and the eyes of the students.
6.Decreasing the usage of technology for the students in the classroom would benefit them from physical and neurological issues.
7 Decreasing the screen time in a classroom setting would benefit students sleeping patterns.
You haven’t made clear whether you mean “unsanctioned use of technology” or “instructional use of technology,” Devils17.
We have a blog going every day in our class. Our work is produced digitally. Etc. We text to share news. Online feedback and email are crucial to our success. We “use a lot of technology.” Is it detrimental to the students in this class?
The Writing Arts Department strongly urges a strict curtailment of device use in classes. I started taking the opposite approach ten years ago, insisting on technology in the classroom.
So, what’s your take here?
Like all feedback, this is meant to begin a conversation, Devils17.
I am eager to hear your reply.
Hi Professor, the idea that I am against and will be writing about is how detrimental the use of instructional technology could lead to physical and mental issues. I understand the fact that the internet has a lot of information so it is better for some classes for research purposes if you are trying to stay up to date. But constantly staring at the screen causes your eyes to water and leads to ineffective sleeping and many more issues.
I understand better now that you’re mostly concerned with the physical disadvantages of too much screen time even if the technology is effective and beneficial. Let me offer a screen share of the results of my first attempt to help you find useful sources.
If you’re not familiar with good search techniques, pay attention the to punctuation in my search, the quotation marks, plus and minus signs all help to refine the search.
Your thoughts?
Thank you Professor this technique will be helpful when I will be looking for credible sources. I do believe that technology has disadvantages for students and this is why I would like to research to see what scientists have discovered as well.
