Morph-Lashawn Robinson

The header graphic shows the transition between the two political leaders. It represents how their political views maybe different on some issues, while they may have similar view points.  The  last picture most likely symbolizes how society has  been accepting to other ethic groups to become president. The transitions between the colors background may represent how the government is becoming  more powerful. After president Brush was president of  the country he  was going through a economic recession, and  during the Obama presidency the economy eventually become stronger.

    Hey, Lashawn,
S1. I agree the graphic shows the transition between two political leaders. (But how? It only truly shows the transition from one face to another.)

S2. Your second sentence is your own speculation. The graphic says to you that the men may have similar viewpoints on some issues. (It’s absolutely certain that any two men would share some positions, differ on others, so this claim is pretty weak.)

S3. If by “the last picture” you mean the photo of Barack Obama, it’s hard to understand what you mean by a “symbol.” Maybe Obama symbolizes our growing acceptance of ethnic diversity among our leaders, but his photograph doesn’t. It’s just a picture of him.

S4. Why (and in what way) would a color change represent the government becoming more powerful? Is blue more powerful than brown?

S5. Here, and in other sentences, your grammar errors slow our comprehension, Lashawn. You may be right about the author’s interpretation, but this very slow six-year recovery is just as easy for one side to blame on Obama as it is for the other side to praise him for.

Does this critique give you some idea how much I expect from your work in this class?
