Jacob Goldstein tells us, in his book “Money,” says that money is really “a made-up thing, a shared fiction, money is fundamentally, unalterably social.” I believe that Goldstein is trying to say that money itself has no actual value, and is only something that shows the idea of value. Rather then it actually having a use or something intrinsically interesting about it, it is more of an “I owe you.”
